Yoga & Nature Retreat – Riviera Nayarit

This retreat is located at a private, 300 acre ecological reserve just North of Sayulita Mexico in the Riviera Nayarit. Unwind with yoga, delicious food, meandering jungle hiking trails, and a private beach paradise with free use of kayaks. We will tour a tropical orchidarium, take part in a traditional healing herbal temazcal ceremony, and have an open excursion to nearby Sayulita. All activities are optional in case you prefer to rest in a hammock, journal, lounge at the beach, treat yourself to a massage, or get lost in a book. This is a retreat aimed at rest and enjoying incredible natural beauty amongst a community of friends. Yoga will be offered two times per day to help support your health, well-being and connection to your own inner beauty.

Autumnal Yoga Live Practice

Join Alice for an live asana practice to honor this cozy time of year where we naturally begin to turn towards inward activities. We will usher in the spirit and symbols of Autumn and the sentiment that goes with it. Expect an all-levels, slightly extended, well rounded practice amongst friends and community. Prior yoga asana experience strongly encouraged.

Learning to Listen – A Live Yoga Workshop

We all have signals in our bodies that tell us when to slow down, when to rev things up, when to say no, and when to jump in and try. In this workshop we will explore through asana the triumph of listening intently to what is being keenly communicated and how not to bulldoze through it. We will also explore what may be fear and what may be a legitimate signal to say NO! All levels of practice with some previous yoga asana experience welcome. Expect a fun class of movement and contemplation.

Bones, Bones, Bones!

The skeletal system is incredible in that it is perfectly designed to get us around every day and provides healthy blood cells through the body. Join me for this special workshop exploring healthy bones and joints through yoga alignment and motion. This is an asana workshop – so come prepared to move! All levels welcome with previous yoga experience. Optional post-class community activation at a nearby yummy coffee shop!

Autumn Asana Workshop

Let’s take an opportunity to practice live and in community together! In this workshop we will honor and explore the art of equilibrium – or the state of balance between two opposing forces. After practice, we will gather at a nearby coffee shop for some optional community activation! Suitable for all levels with previous asana experience. BYOP (bring your own props)

April 24: Beach Yoga, Santa Cruz CA

Walk-in and go down the hill towards the left in the cove.

Cost: $20 via PayPal, Venmo, or Cash

Practice in a cozy little cove at Black’s Beach in Santa Cruz and afterward, we’ll visit the Live Oak Farmer’s Market for food (AND COFFEE!!!) or shopping for healthy local veggies. 

Of course, the Farmer’s Market portion is optional but I’m generally daydreaming about what to eat in savasana, aren’t you?!

*Parking can be tight so get creative – use side streets or parking at the Farmer’s market and walk over (6-10 mins). Bikes are also great! 

May 15: Live Class in Scotts Valley, CA

This event will be at a truly stunning private estate so the address and directions will be given closer to the date. May 22: Yoga and Sound Healing Experience – Live!

Please join us for an afternoon of Gentle Yoga and a transformative Sound Experience with Alice Kennedy and Kalden Kho in a beautiful and tranquil retreat-like setting in Soquel, CA. Alice will guide you through a series of gentle poses to help facilitate an openness and readiness for the sound immersion . Kalden will lead us in an extraordinary sound experience using chanting and instruments to help gain the optimal vibration for you and your body. You will leave this experience feeling more balanced physically, mentally and emotionally.

Tea and cookies will be served so that all can gather and be together.

All levels of practice are welcome.

Kalden Kho is originally from eastern Tibet and was a monk from age 5-23. He brings a wealth of Tibetan cultural and spiritual background to all of his events. After completing a three year retreat and escaping to India, he joined his Tibetan community in exile…under His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. When he moved to the U.S. he discovered that people need connection and serenity to offset the stress and isolation of modern lifestyle. He has dedicated his work to introduce America to the warmth and spiritual strength of Traditional Tibetan culture while working to ensure the continued robust existence of Tibetan traditions. He hopes you will join him in building this community and moving toward a more enlightened, balanced and harmonious path.

Alice Kennedy has been teaching and living her yoga since 2004. She teaches alignment-based yoga to help optimize a student’s ability to heal, feel free, and enhance their state of emotional well-being. She teaches public and private classes as well as workshops and retreats.
